LEFTOVERS: No MTP debate, Welch the author, Carlineo chimes in
Joe Sestak kept the heat on Arlen Specter Friday for agreeing to only one more televised debate between now and primary day, with the latest ammunition coming from a report that Specter had turned down a chance to debate in his primary challenger on Meet the Press.
“Arlen Specter’s sense of entitlement is typical of a 30-year Washington insider,” campaign spokesman Jonathon Dworkins said in a statement. “His refusal to defend his views on the most influential national news program in the country says it all. He thinks that just because he cut a deal in Washington he doesn’t owe voters the time of day.” By the end of the day, the campaign was pointing out that apparently embattled Flordia Gov. Charlie Crist will be debating his Senate opponent on Meet the Press.
Meanwhile, it turns out that 6th District Republican candidate Steven Welch isn’t just a biotech entrepreneur—he’s a writer, too. He announced on Friday the publication of “We Are All Born Entrepreneurs,” a book that “chronicles the struggles and successes of men and women across the country who overcame amazing odds to build successful businesses from scratch.”
“As I interviewed entrepreneurs across the country I realized that each one followed a different path, but there were also certain traits and skills that all successful entrepreneurs possessed,” Welch said in a statement. “I compiled over a dozen stories that I believe provide learning experiences for aspiring entrepreneurs and also answered the question of why so many of us find purpose in entrepreneurship.”
And speaking of debates, 8th District Republican candidate Gloria Carlineo wants to have some, too. In a statement Friday, she said there should be at least three debates throughout Bucks County.
“I believe it is imperative for every resident of the district to have the opportunity to hear what each candidate has to offer,” she said.

I wonder if “insider” Sestak will release his full military record so we can finally see why Admiral Mullen fired him and why he went from a desk job in Clinton’s White House back to the fleet.
Dworkins, if Joe is going to run on his military record and put on his green jacket as a prop, how about releasing the FULL record??

Anyone remember Santorum’s book? A Book by a candidate makes things fun. This should be interesting Mr. Welch: http://www.waabe.us

Mr. Diano: Indeed. “Admiral” Sestak was ignominiously ousted from the U.S. Armed Forces, and his exit was welcomed by all. Sestak was not an asset to the U.S. military – he was a liability. Yet this demagogue has the audacity to tout his supposed credentials. This would-be “hero” is a fraud. Always has been, in actuality.

Oh, the irony…
“Arlen Specter’s sense of entitlement is typical of a 30-year Washington insider”
Sestak had the SAME sense in 2008 when he refused to have more than one debate with his lesser know GOP opponent. Yet, in 2006, Sestak was railing against Weldon for limiting him in debates.
Sestak was a 3-star Admiral, but he’s a 4-star hypocrite.

Carlineo is breathing down Fitzpatrick’s back. He will not win this nomination and I predict he will drop out within the month.

Looks like Sestak is gasping for straws with these attacks / comments. The idea that Specter is being criticized for not debating him as many times as requested is clearly politics.
Sestak needs to release his War record so nobody doubts his credibility. This seems to be a common theme from the start of his campaign and as it winds down, it has clearly cost him.
Perhaps a cue from the now closed down (R) Welch campaign is in order … Cut some deals, and back out with the intention of running again.

If Sestak has to release his military record, then Specter should have to release his health records.

Jake-
No, if medical, then Sestak should have to release his medical records, including any psychological records or medications he might be taking for his erratic (bi-polar?) behavior. Isn’t anyone concerned about the long-term mental health effects of Sestak’s obvious sleep deprivation?
Sestak is taking shots at Specter’s 30-year JOB history, so Sestak should release his own JOB history. Sestak left under a cloud of suspicion. If the official record doesn’t match his account, that goes to Sestak’s credibility. And, since Sestak is pretending to be a shining knight of virtue, there should be no problem. Right?

Spector’s turn to the HARD Left is amazing. I am Republican and voted for him last time around. Never a big fan, but this is amazing. I am obviously no Sestak fan, but how can any honorable Democrat vote for such a turncoat. I can see changing parties, but that shouldn’t change your voting record (if you have any core values). I welcome a Toomey/Sestak race. A true Conservative vs. a true Progressive/Liberal.
