Hoeffel on his enemies

Hoeffel on his enemies

Joe Hoeffel’s got enemies—and proud to say so.

In the Democratic gubernatorial candidate’s latest Web video (below), Hoeffel runs through a list of the constituencies who disdain him, continuing to position himself as the primary’s most liberal candidate.

“I’m as  proud of the enemies I’ve made through the years as I am with the friends who support me,” Hoeffel says in the 70-second spot.

On abortion? “The anti-choice forces scream at me.”

On gun laws? “The gun lobby attacks me.”

On labor laws? “Wall street starts screaming.”

On same-sex marriage? “The radical right goes nuts.”

Hoeffel closes it all by saying: “And you know what? I don’t care. Because I believe in old-fashioned values like integrity and principle.”

This guy is a total freak who, sadly, speaks for a large segment of today’s out-of-touch Democratic Party. This fool wouldn’t get elected as janitor of the governor’s office.

Thanks for playing, Bill. Here’s your teabag.

You’re right as usual Bruce. Joe Hoeffel will be the next governor of PA, no doubt. Send him a few thousand dollars of your money, since it’s such a sure bet, ok? Tell your domestic partner I said hello.

How do you like that? A Democrat with balls. Super freaky! Go Joe!

Joe Hoeffel is an absolute godsend for Pennsylvania politics. He is the only one in this race who is not afraid to stand up for ALL citizens of our Commonwealth. He has my vote, that’s for sure.

Let’s not forget Hoeffel spent a million bucks telling Montgomery County voters (correctly) what a low life, dishonest, turd was Jim Matthews. Then he turned around and embraced Matthews as a BFF. He said Matthews hired cronies, gave out no bid contracts, engaged in pay to play. So what has Hoeffel done since getting elected? Hired cronies, gave out no bid contracts, and engaged in pay to play. He is the perfect Democrat: a hyporcrite who stands for nothing.

This is one of the best campaign videos in terms a direct, no-nonsense statement by the candidate, on principles I firmly believe.

My ONLY criticism is take out those quick side-view cuts. They are jarring and distracting. Joe is much more effective looking directly into the camera, fully lit.

Joe Hoeffel is jarring and distracting, and of course after losing, will be much more effective looking at the Governor’s office from OUTSIDE of the State House sipping a Latte’.

Corbett will beat him in the Southeast and the Phila. Suburbs. In the Hills and the T, where people hunt, and where MEN and WOMEN marry each other, he will be looked at, and rightfully so, as another Philadelphia area Liberal.

Potential areas of heavy votes for him; Philadelphia, Allegheny County, and the Borough of New Hope.

Joe, put me on your enemies list. I am proud to be there.

I doubt Hoeffel would get heavy votes even in Allegheny County. I believe he lost Allegheny to Specter, didn’t he? Corbett is from Shaler and I believe would break even or squeak out a win in Allegheny against a lefty loon like Hoeffel. Joe will get crushed in the rest of western pa. In fact, outside of Phildelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery, he won’t win anywhere else. He’s just too crazy for PA.

I am glad Joe had the money to make this but does he have the money to put this on TV? Or is this internet only?

Why doesn’t Hoeffel support single payer healthcare – Medicare For All?

    Mr. Hoeffel:

Would that old fashioned “integrity” value you claim to believe in pertain to ethics ordinance you championed and passed the first time you were a Montgomery County Commissioner twelve years ago? And if so, why have you been ignoring this ordinance during your second tenure in this office beginning in 2007?

And, as a point of full disclosure to it’s audience of Pennsylvania voters, why isn’t PA2010 covering these allegations of pay-to-play stemming directly from the office Mr.Hoeffel currently holds?

It’s big news here in Hoeffel’s home county of Montgomery.

Hoeffel a man of principle? Ha! He offered in a letter to his law firm clients to use his influence as commissioner for their benefit. He railed against crony hires during a campaign then hired all his crony buddies into the government and even allowed his partner in crime, Jim Matthews, to hire his secretary to run the county HR Department! He routinely ignores his own pay to play ordinance while pocketing campaign cash for no bid secret contracts. He says nothing when Matthews uses county employees to film a political TV ad in his county office. The list is endless of this man’s hypocrisy. He spent a whole year attacking Matthews as no good for the county then forged an alliance with him within weeks of the election. He is a man devoid of “principle or integrity” but he will say or do anything that he thinks will advance his political interests and truth be damned. Hoeffel represents everything that is bad in a politician.

  16. TELL ARLEN SPECTER,

I’M STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM HIM?

I HAVE REPORTED CORRUPTION AND CHILD ABDUCTION TO MANY FOR OVER 8 MONTHS NOW WITHOUT HELP?

AG CASE#200706634 FAILS TO BE PROSECUTED AND THE U.S. SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE WERE TO ENSURE THAT MY CASE WAS PROSECUTED.

SO WHY AM I STILL A TARGET FOR POLICE INTIMIDATION, WRONGFUL INPRISONMENT AND WHY HAVE I NOT RECEIVED FEDERAL WITNESS PROTECTION?

YOU WANT PROTECT WITNESSES RIGHT – THATS WHAT OUR OFFICIALS ARE TELLING EVERYONE WHO READS PHILADELPHIA NEWS PUBLICATIONS.
