Dent kicking off campaign next weekend
Congressman Charlie Dent (R-15) will be formally kick off his campaign for a fourth term next Saturday in Allentown.
Dent’s campaign will be hosting an event at noon on Feb. 27 at Scottish Rite Cathedral in Allentown.
The incumbent is facing a strong challenge from Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan, a White House recruit who has bested him in fundraising the last two quarters. He’s also facing a primary challenge from Palmerton Township’s Matthew Benol, and conservative Jake Towne is also expected to run.
