Bucchianeri Remains Committed to Western Pennsylvanians

By BUCCHIANERI FOR CONGRESS

Monongahela, Pa – Coming off of the announcement by Governor Rendell that the special election to fill the remainder of Rep. John Murtha’s term will take place on May 18th, Democratic candidate Ryan Bucchianeri reaffirmed his commitment to providing new leadership for Western Pennsylvania.  The following is a statement regarding Bucchianeri’s intention to move forward with his candidacy for the 12th congressional district:
“It is as true today as it was when I declared my candidacy for Congress in May 2009.  I remain committed to this race and to the people of Western Pennsylvania.
“As I have traveled throughout the district over the past several months, people continually express a need for change and are ready to turn the page toward a new generation of leadership.  With their support I will bring that new leadership to Washington and focus on issues that matter most to us at home – job creation, education reform, and affordable and accessible healthcare for the entire district.
“Moreover, as a veteran and businessman with international experience, I can think of no better way to honor Congressman Murtha’s legacy to the people of our district and our Armed Forces than to continue serving our country as a member of Congress.
“While I could never replace Congressman Murtha, I would be honored to carry on his service for a new generation of Pennsylvanians and a brighter future.”
Bucchianeri is a graduate of Ringgold High School, a former officer in the U.S. Navy and international businessman.
