Steve it is time to cut your losses. The party bosses gave you a bad deal. Bottom line the voters in the 6th want Gerlach. Your a carpet-bagger and we know it…go back to the 7th. You never belonged in the 6th. Time to go home and tell Skip and buddies where to go!

I think that with an open seat like the one that in the 7th “meaning wide open.” Would be a better shot for him to win. If he has enough volunteers and will overcome the Delco GOP committee.

Gerlach is harder to beat since he already has the seat anyway.

To keep in the race he would have to attack Gerlach not say he’s a great guy. Their isn’t going to a debate Steve your fooling yourself.

In the end this guy gets nothing I bet that he didn’t even get offered at least House run like Lentz was offered. They will just ask him to send money.

I would think Welch would be looking to run where he has the best shot, not where he can bring the most “life” to the party. A crowded field in the 6th gives him a better shot than going up against the Delco GOP committee people.

He’s the man against the machine. They actually did it to him twice. First with Meehan now with Gerlach.
Now both Gerlach and Meehan have something in common they both wanted to run for Gov. They decided that they didn’t want to have their fate decided by that jury. And now they are in the Congressional relocaltion program. ha ha

BOO HOO they are all rich it takes money to run Welch should have never pulled out of the 7th in the first place.

Welch has every reason to run their are what 10 Rep. running for the seat in the 6th. Somebody has to run against Meehan to bring life to the party. Run Welch run

Welch can switch back, that would be a disaster. I hope he goes to noes to noes with Jimmy G. But you know the party bosses will be after his knees if he tried to do that.

Puh-leeze. Welch already said what a great guy Pat Meehan was when he dropped out of the 78th and switched over the 6th. Now he’s suddenly going to run against him because life got a little difficult for him in the 6th?

i like what I have seen form Welch, but a switch back to the 7th would play very badly for him. 1.) It makes him look indecisive. 2.) He looks desperate to hold political office at any cost, jumping around to find the best race for himself. 3.) It makes him apppear to think he has some sort of entitlement because he’s rich 4.) Being from Phoenixville, he has a huge uphill battle to pull any votes out of Delco in a short time frame.

I agree with the comment above. A primary are held so people can choose their canidate that they desire.
Not for Men in dark smoke filled rooms making their choices for them.
A run against Meehan will help the party not hurt it.

Steve- as a fan and potential voter, please reconsider your decision and run for the 7th Congressional. I understood the decision to switch to the 6th but with Gerlach back in- please, do not let Pat Meehan get a free pass. He has no business acumen and his whole career has been under the direction of John McNichol and the old GOP party. He will be nothing but an empty suit.
