Who cares about the governor?
Did you know they get a house?
I’m not talking about the governor, I’m talking about the lieutenant governor. And if my beef with prosecutors, justified or not, isn’t enough for you, I’m taking it to the next level. County Commissioners… go home.
Everywhere I look, be it Carol Aichele or Jim Cawley, I see the same thing: “Look at me, your tax-cutting Republican county commissioner who has nice pictures of me with kids and a farmer on the top of my Web site.” A true American hero.
Now, I previously explained my grief with Steve Johnson, if he’s even in the race anymore (seriously, how can I keep track at this point?). And I don’t love political operatives so much either… cough cough, Joe Watkins.
As a strong candidate who already has cleared the field, I hope Tom Corbett can bring someone into the race interesting enough to not only warrant attention and help the ticket by balancing and adding something to it, but someone who can do something.
An implication that the Lt. Gov. should do something? That’s right. If we are going to give someone a house and a state trooper and a cook, please make them do something.
So what should they do. Any suggestions?

Tell me, did you bother to first investigate the range of the LG’s duties before writing your blog entry?
It’s a shame that you are so young and already so cynical. Apparently there are too many adults around you unduly influencing your attitude toward the process.

The Lt Gov is the head of Emergency Preparedness. He is the Head of the Senate and God forbide #1 in line for Gov if something happens. Serious stuff. BTW, Watkins is not just an operative…here Daniel, look at this:

All three LG candidates would do the State proud. But this guy is fresh and will get young folks like you involved. He’s done it in Philly with “Say Yes to Education”, Stepping Stone Scholars and his North Philly church, I’m told.

What is your beef with Steve Johnson? Something about a turtle? You really should re-examine your priorities when naming the Box Turtle PA’s reptile (or something like that) is more important to you than researching a topic you post on your blog. What kind of writer are you?
