Schroder had raised $186K before leaving 6th District race
Before Congressman Jim Gerlach (R-6) decided to seek reelection, one of the Republicans who had hoped to succeed him was on his way to building a fundraising base.
State Representative Curt Schroder (R-Chester), who dropped out of the race shortly after Gerlach got back into it, had raised about $186,000 by the end of last year, according to campaign finance data. He had about $127,000 in cash on hand.
Only the smallest percentage of Schroder’s donors had given the legal maximum, meaning he could have returned for more when what had looked to be a competitive primary content with businessman Steven Welch heated up. Gerlach now faces a primary challenge from Welch, who is staying in the race.

I agree. Then both can go to jail for campaign finance abuse.

Cry me a river Diano. Jim Welch has the support of the tea party and has the message of limited govt spending to win this election. Schroeder stepped aside because he saw that Welch was overwhelming, and Gerlach was a pol with no chance.
