White House holds another Photo-Op Summit
By HUBER FOR CONGRESS
This year, it’s become a pattern of the Obama Administration and liberals in Congress to make a problem worse, and then pretend they’re working on it by holding a well-attended photo-op at the White House.
At the beginning of the year, they extended the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) and passed a $787 billion stimulus. After they faced intense criticism for the growth in the federal deficit and national debt, they held a “Fiscal Responsibility Summit” that achieved nothing.
Now, since they’ve lost 3 million jobs on their watch and unemployment is at 10.2%, and closer to 20% when you factor in the underemployed and those who have left the job market, they’re holding another big summit that amounts to nothing more than a photo op.
Paul Huber, candidate for Congress, said, “While millions of families and small businesses see a real crisis, wondering where their next paycheck will come from, how they’re going to make their mortgage payment, and whether they will be able to pay their mounting credit card bills, the Obama Administration and liberals in Congress like Kathy Dahlkemper see only a political problem.”
“Rather than preening for the cameras and trying to fool the American people, Congress should get to work passing policies that will actually help create jobs and grow our economy,” said Huber. “Symbolism might make liberals in Washington, D.C. feel better about themselves, but families and small businesses need solutions.”
Paul Huber is a lifelong businessman who has experience growing a business and creating jobs. He has served for over twenty years on the board of an economic development agency focused on bringing businesses and jobs to Northwest Pennsylvania.
