Warwick supervisor seeking GOP nomination in 8th District
The Republican race to take on Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-8) is becoming a crowded affair.
Judith Algeo, a family law attorney who chairs the Warwick Township Board of Supervisors, became the latest candidate to enter the primary Wednesday, The Bucks County Courier Times reports. She is the fourth candidate seeking the Republican nomination during a cycle in which Murphy is not expected to be very vulnerable.
She joins a group that includes Dean Malik, an attorney and major in the Marine Reserves from New Britain Township, Robert Mitchell, a small business owner, former Air Force major and health law attorney from Doylestown Township, and Jeffrey Schott, who runs an information technology firm in Chalfont.
“Our government added more than $1 trillion to the national debt this year,” she told the newspaper. “So many zeroes I can’t understand it. But the legacy to our children should be that they are debt free.”

Although Algeo appears tied in with the Bucks GOP, I still have doubts she will receive the blessings from the Bucks GOP Executive Committee. The same can be said of the other three candidates. Harry Fawkes and the executive committee know candidates coming from the teabag wing of the Party are not electable in the PA-08.
They are holding out hope that Mike Fitzpatrick will mount a comeback and run for his old seat again. I understand his health has improved and he along with close advisors are weighing a decision. If Fawkes can’t get Fitzpatrick, He will look toward state Sen. Tommy Tomlinson.
Still, keep in mind most political analysts have rated PA-08 as “safe” for Patrick Murphy. In the end Fawkes may have to endorse another B-list candidate.

My congratulations to Judith and best wishes.
One caveat, what is she going to do to stop the violations associated with the topless bar in Jamison Pa established only two weeks ago and the over 400 community members that are expecting her and the Republican party to protect the community from the encroachment of this establishment within one mile of three elementary schools and four houses of worship. Will she be able to win the hearts of South Eastern PA if she leaves this legacy and “unfinished business” while seeking a seat in congress?

Rumor also has it that Vietnam Vet, HR consultant and small business owner James Jones may enter the race. I understand he has been talking to party elders.
He is also an intriguing candidate because he has strong ties to both the business community in Lower Bucks and minority communities. Some minorities have expressed an interest in helping him int he Republican party. He may be a game changer. Let’s see.

Algeo just lost the conservative base vote after voting to raise taxes by 15% in Warwick.

I was upset at the choices we would have this 8th District Republican race until just recently. The name Gloria Carlineo was introduced. I searched her Bio. WoW! This is it. A Women that has seen it all. A Mom, Well Educated. It apears to me the only candidate thats not trying to promote a company or Law firm. It appears she is just mad as hell over the Government putting her kids in debt and harms way. She is getting off the sidelines and into the game. She can win, we can help.

AI,
She lost me with her cheap attempt to kick war veteran James Jones off the ballot.
It seems the least qualified candidates have the most agressive supporters and are the most cut-throat.
