Pike’s finance team has some heavy-hitters
Doug Pike’s congressional campaign on Wednesday unveiled a finance committee replete with big-money fundraisers in the Democratic Party, a staff that should help add some outside money to the significant cash Pike is putting into his own campaign.
Leading the list was Richard Schiffrin, a suburban Philadelphia who was one of Hillary Clinton’s biggest fundraisers during her presidential campaign. Often coveted by other candidates, he only rarely gets involved in down-ballot races. The Pike campaign also brought on Bill Titelman, who has been a major fundraiser for Gov. Ed Rendell, and Sam Becker, who helped raise money for Lois Murphy in the district several years ago.
“I am proud that all of these accomplished people have joined my Finance Committee,” Pike said in a statement. “They will play a crucial role in ensuring victory next year.”
Pike faces Iraq War veteran and Reading doctor Manan Trivedi in next year’s primary. See the campaign’s full release below:

It sounds like Pike has put together a powerful team.
If they have a sense of humor, they will put his number on the “to call” list for fundraising.
Just a little levity to lighten the mood.
In all seriousness, the 6th is an important race, and I’m glad Pike is off to a good start in this critical area.
