Indiana Dem leaders back Wagner
Continuing to stitch together a base of Democratic support, state Auditor General Jack Wagner’s gubernatorial campaign announced endorsements Tuesday from two party leaders in Indiana County—the acting chair of the county party, Ron Fairman, and state committeewoman Mary Jane Dellafiora.
“We back Jack because he’ll continue to fight for the interests of Pennsylvania families and taxpayers,” Fairman said in a statement. “Jack’s been a great Auditor General and will be a great Governor.”
With most of the higher-profile party leaders and elected officials lining up behind Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato in the five-way primary, Wagner has clearly been looking to build his support from the bottom up.

The wise guys in Philly who dominate the political airwaves never helped Jack because he is not for sale. Wagner got more votes than anyone else last year and spent the least amount of money to do it. You don’t run up 3.3 million votes, running ahead of everybody else on the ticket of either party, if you do not have strong, personal supporters across the state. He is going to keep piling up endorsements because people know him, like him and know that he is a stand up guy.

I’ve yet meet Jack Wagner. I’ve heard some good things, so I’ll try to keep an open mind.
I’m going to Hoeffel fundraiser tonight to hear what Joe (the good Joe
) has to say about his campaign and his key issues.
