I am so glad to see a candidate coming out and taking a serious stand on a women’s right to choose. All to often candidates are too afraid to say anything and they simply walk the line between saying something and saying nothing. Doug Pike seems to be a different kind of candidate. Lets raise the level of debate in this election and actually call on our candidates to say something and to take a stand rather than fill our airwaves with 30 second sound bites of nothing.

Who is to say manny trivediaz hasn’t spoken to señor pike before and pike is just trying to make him go public. If it’s such a basic issue he should state it. Just as there are issues pike needs to address before he could get my vote.

I’ve seen both Pike and Trivedi at a few events now. I’m not sure how different their positions really are but so far Pike has on multiple occasions addressed the issue of women’s rights and the Stupak amendment and Trivedi has not.

I have a lot more respect for someone like Pike that is willing to address the tough issues of our time.

Yoson and Danny-
I’m pretty sure this topic came up at the Trivedi event I attended a few weeks ago in the list of his positions and that Manny is pro-choice. Now, I don’t have a specific recollection of a discussion, because quite frankly, pro-choice Dem is like a dog-bites-man story and pro-life Dem is like a man-bites-dog story.

Again, if Doug had ANY doubts about Trivedi’s position, he could have asked him last night at the Onorata event.

Trying to associate (smear) Trivedi with the GOP candidates on this issue is crude, transparent, unworthy and disappointing.
