Lentz Launches Campaign Website and Social Networking Tools
By LENTZ FOR CONGRESS
SWARTHMORE: Today, Bryan Lentz is officially launching his Congressional campaign website, votelentz.com. This announcement comes just a few days after Lentz officially declared his candidacy for Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District to over 130 supporters at Upper Darby American Legion Post 214 last Thursday. Lentz has already raised over $250,000, secured the endorsement of 70+ key elected officials and party leaders and built a top-flight campaign organization. He is widely considered the front runner for the Democratic nomination.
“I am excited to announce the launch of my congressional campaign website, my Twitter account and Facebook page,” Lentz said today. “The site will not only be a great way to educate voters about who I am, why I am running and why I am the best person to fight for the people of Southeastern Pennsylvania, but also will help me directly connect with voters and organize the campaign effort we need to win.”
Lentz’ website outlines his experience along with his stance on the issues, including government reform, healthcare and the economy. His site also offers several interactive features for his supporters, including polls and popular social networking sites.
“YouTube, Twitter and Facebook are some of the best ways to connect with voters and discuss the issues important to them,” Lentz continued. “Having a presence on social networking sites lets folks know that every door to my campaign is open, whether it is through a phone call, a letter or a Facebook message.”
Lentz was already winning strong support for his candidacy even before his announcement last Thursday. Lentz outraised his likely Republican opponent as of the 3rd quarter FEC filing and was able to secure the highly coveted unanimous endorsement of the Delaware County AFL-CIO. In 2006, Lentz defeated a 28-year incumbent to earn a seat in the PA House of Representatives and in 2008, voters overwhelmingly reelected him.
