Democrats ignore voters at their peril

Interesting item here on how the Democrats are overplaying their political hand and relying on hoped-for Republican divisions to save them. When Newsweek says you’re too liberal, you know there’s trouble.

But there aren’t not many indications the Democratic leadership is listening.

A fascinating local twist—only two Pennsylvania Democrats, Jason Altmire and Tim Holden, voted against their party’s health care bill last weekend. They are obviously not convinced that the Republicans are helpless or that the Obama bandwagon is unstoppable.

Do they know something the leadership doesn’t?
