Kanjorski raised another $237K
With a primary challenge looming, Congressman Paul Kanjorski (D-11) is well on his way to building up a formidable war chest for next year’s reelection bid.
Kanjorski raised more than $237,000 during the third quarter, finishing the period with about $808,000 in cash on hand, according to campaign finance data.
The longtime incumbent has been spending lightly, and from his powerful perch in the House Financial Services Committee, he remains a potent fundraiser in a district where the media markets are cheap.
Kanjorski faces Lackawanna County Commissioner Corey O’Brien in the Democratic primary next year. Attorney Chris Paige is running for the GOP nomination, and Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta, who lost to Kanjorski twice, is also said to be considering another run.

He who has the most cash wins. Sad but true. Let’s watch Kanjerk-ski go broke before he gets re-elected. I just hope the fine folks in the 11th are smarter that they were in the last election…
