Former State Senator Connie Williams Endorses Manan Trivedi for PA 6th

Reading, Pa – Democratic candidate for the PA 6th congressional district, Manan Trivedi announced today that he has received the endorsement of former state Senator Connie Williams. For 12 years Williams represented Montgomery County in the state legislature as both a representative and senator.

“I am excited to endorse Manan Trivedi for Congress,” said Sen. Williams. “His life experience, intellect, ability to connect with people and energy will make him a great member of Congress. His strong values, rooted in his upbringing in Berks county, are representative of all people in the 6th district,” Williams concluded.

The endorsement marks Trivedi’s first major sign of support from Montgomery County.

“Senator Williams will offer valuable political and policy strength to our campaign and to me personally when I am in Congress,” Trivedi stated. “Whether it was her work on health care issues as a founding member of the Children’s Caucus, to advocating on behalf of workers who lack accessible coverage, I know that I will benefit greatly from her experience and more importantly, the leadership she has demonstrated in the community.”

Manan Trivedi is a primary care physician and an Iraq War veteran. He retired as a Lt. Commander in the United States Navy.
