Doug Pike Adds 4 New Labor Endorsements

Ardmore, PA — Today, Pike for Congress is announcing 4 new labor endorsements, making it 11 unions that have endorsed or given financial support to the campaign:

Elevator Constructors Local 5 (Philadelphia, PA)
United Mine Workers of America (COMPAC)
American Postal Workers Union, Local 89 (Philadelphia, PA)
Amalgamated Transit Workers Local 1345 (Reading, PA)

“As a former member of two unions, it is a personal as well as a professional honor to have the strong early support of the working families of Pennsylvania,” said Doug Pike. “Working people deserve a congressman who will fight to create jobs, pass universal health care, and make sure every child receives a quality education. I will be a strong voice for workers and their families in Washington.”

Doug Pike served on the Editorial Board of The Philadelphia Inquirer for 14 years and was the president of a hospital for 10 years. Previously, Pike served as a Special Assistant and Speechwriter for U.S. Senator Paul Tsongas. In 1971, Pike graduated with honors from Princeton University.

The 6th District encompasses parts of Berks, Chester, Lehigh, and Montgomery Counties.
