Dahlkemper opponent says he raised $100K (Updated)

Republican Congressional candidate Paul Huber said Monday that he had raised $100,000 in his bid to unseat Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper (D-3), only one month after entering the race.

His campaign said it had the same amount in campaign cash on hand, implying he had spent almost nothing during his first weeks in the race.

“There is a long way to go between now and election day,” Huber said in a statement, “but I am confident that as voters have a chance to compare my message of common-sense responsibility with our tax dollars to Rep. Dahlkemper’s record of fiscal recklessness, our support will continue to grow.”

Third quarter campaign finance reports will be published later this week.

UPDATE: Newly-released campaign finance data shows that Huber raised only about $50,000, loaning his own campaign another $50,000.

$50 is not $100 by a long shot, sounds like a guy who is not going to be straight with us, if his first press release offers such a blatant lie. looking at both reports Dahlkemper has raised more than $700,000, this guy has a long way to go

I hear Dr. Sundeep Ram plans on running as a republican candidate as well.
