Nice article.
I think commentators are sorely mistaken to overlook Doherty in this race. My sister went to college in Scranton, starting at the beginning of Doherty’s first term (2002-2006). I can honestly tell you from visiting her several times during that period that things changed VERY NOTICEABLY in Scranton during that time. Also, I just took the MCAT and am hoping to end up in Scranton for medical school Who would have thought?
My point is that the guy has been really good for Scranton, and in a crowded primary, he has a shot to stand out & gain some traction.

Doherty used a rusty pole and the empty Scranton Club as backdrops for the photo ???

The sweatshirt reflects his goal. He wants to turn Pennsylvania into Michigan because he has turned Scranton into Detroit.

arby: you’re a fool
I lived outside of Scranton from 1997 to 2005 before moving back. The change is marked and cannot be overstated. I’m surprised he’s interested in the governor’s post, but I’ll support him for sure. He’s been a PHENOMENAL mayor.
