Report: Corbett to declare gubernatorial candidacy on Monday
State Attorney General Tom Corbett will reportedly make the announcement that everyone already assumed was a done deal next week, when he officially declares his candidacy for the GOP gubernatorial nomination Monday in Pittsburgh.
PoliticsPA reports that Corbett’s campaign manager, Brian Nutt, confirmed a big announcement scheduled for Monday.
Corbett was widely expected to run even before he won reelection last year. He faces Congressman Jim Gerlach (R-6) in next year’s primary.

I would recommend Corbett hire me to be his advisor… lol.
Next, I recommend with the big lead and such, and the fact that you… Tom Corbett (the Attorney General) presides over a political corruption unit, that in respect for conflict of interest purposes you somehow relinquish those duties, or resign from AG to run the campaign.
Gerlach and the Dems will rightfully continue to hammer away. Corbett is the favorite for Guv aside from Onorato. He has nothing to gain by staying on as AG except a black and blue eye. There’s nothing to gain, he is already a state wide power.

…and now we can focus on what is shaping up to be a really hot race for Lt. Gov. About 15 at last count.

Corbett won’t resign as AG because then he can’t get the free media he needs. As for the LG race, there is going to be an entrant to the race next month that will completely change the chemistry of things. No, not Frank Rizzo or some Asher crony.

So Mr. “Conflict of Interest” who registers just 15% in polls after two statewide elections is getting in the race. Wow. he’s really gonna light up the base (lol)

I think I could do for Corbett what I’ve done for Joe Hoeffel…er….what I mean is, form a coalition government like I’ve done in Montco…uh…you know…I mean I could do for Wagner or Onoroto what I did for Hoeffel…I mean Joe and I are running together. That’s it. Yes. Un huh… Asher says that people really don’t buy that I’m untrustworthy. I mean, Bob knows these things.
