Costello passes on attacking Welch

Chester County Recorder of Deeds Ryan Costello was quick to respond to Steven Welch’s decision to run against him in the 6th District Saturday. But he opted against attacking Welch for switching races to run in a district where, for the moment at least, he doesn’t actually live.

“I remain focused on earning this nomination through hard work and emphasizing my message of lower taxes, less federal government intervention, and fostering a favorable climate for job creation,” Costello said in a statement. “I have been pleased with the support my candidacy has generated and will continue to run a positive and issue-oriented campaign.”

State Representative Curt Schroder (R-Chester) is also seeking the GOP nomination.
