Tired of watching obstructionists

As I watch MSNBC, I can’t help but admire Senator Arlen Specter for tolerating so much nonsense from organized obstructionist groups with little to say.

These town hall meetings have turned into a complete and utter joke as the far-right that has gone out of its way to attack Democrats.

Those with real questions are getting drowned out by the silly, card-holding, talking-point reading individuals that don’t care about the bill, but expanding a far-right agenda that’s only based on fear and prosletyzing.

No one will lose their health care. NO ONE! And you are free to keep your doctor. What is so difficult about that?

This nonsense has to stop.

I finally saw the video. I was impressed with how Specter got right in between the protester and his own people/bodyguards.
Stephen Colbert was right when he said Specter had a pair of giant swinging b*lls.

It’s a shame that a few extremely vocal and willfully ignorant protesters are so bent on obstructing the legitimate discussion of such an important issue. Instead of screaming, waving signs around, and talking over others, why not do the research and ask legitimate questions? Sen. Specter and his colleagues aren’t afraid of tough questions, but they can’t answer them with this kind of circus going on.

Hey Abe, you may need to adjust your TV set because there was no particular organized groups in attendance.

Well, there was one – the Marc Stier-led Philadelphia group that showed up and immediately commenced trying to find people to accept their matching stickers and signs. Yeah, the same stickers and signs we see lined up HOURS before the Sestak town hall tonight. Talk about astroturfing!

A D friend asked me after we left Specter’s Lebanon gig if I thought the crowd was a fair representation of the area in general. “Yup,” I responded, “otherwise it wouldn’t have been so utterly lopsided.” He promptly called me a teabagger. ‘Nuff said.

Man up Abe, admit that the American people are not swallowing this whole “hurry up and get it done” agenda any more. I only wish they’d done so about a decade earlier.

Russ – Just because there were organizations at one town hall doesn’t mean there were at all town hall meetings. Just because there weren’t any organizationas at one town hall doesn’t mean there weren’t at all town halls.

Last I checked, you don’t speak for America – that’s Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Congress’s jobs. If you care to take a look at the polling data, the healthcare plan has a plurality in several polls. There are a lot of different polls with different wording, but overall, at the very least more than 40% of America would disagree with your assessment.
