Still more on incivility and who’s causing it

I posted here about the incivility of the health care debate and what I see as the responsibility of liberal supporters as well as conservative opponents. My basic point is that the use of terms like crazy, liars, or unhinged to describe opponents of the health care plan—or the effort to smear a large and growing opposition movement by reference to the behavior of a few—is both politically effective and morally indefensible.

I talk a little bit about where I think this is coming from and what I think its likely effect will be. Those who are interested should have a look and feel free to comment.
