Doherty, municipal advice-man
As he continues to mull a run for Governor, Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty is getting love from at least one of his neighbors.
Doherty was in Reading Monday to give local officials advice about a state program, Act 47, that gives cities more control over labor contracts, The Reading Eagle reports. He said the two cities weren’t in exactly the same boat, and that Reading should proceed cautiously.
“Scranton and Reading’s situations are not the same,” Doherty said, according to the newspaper. “No matter what decision you make, stick to it. People are watching to see that you are sticking to your decisions.”

Is this guy in the Democratic Party? That quote is the pure distillation of the philosophy of George Bush and the wingnuts running the GOP today.

How is that quote a Bushism? He just said Reading has to follow through on whatever decision it makes.

So right or wrong stick with YOUR decision? Does anyone else see any thing wrong with what HE is saying? Personally, if I’m doing something that affects so many, I’m looking for input and if someone has a better way of getting something done I’m going to do thing THEIR way. This man is nothing more than pompous, self absorbed sociopath. I mean that with all seriousness. Look up the definition watch his actions, see what he has done and said in the past and then tell me what you think.

I stand by my statement and Gino gave you the definition of Bush and his policies of disaster.

Good for him…a guy who believes in his convictions. Why all the negativity, Gino? Me thinks you might be worried about him upsetting your apple cart. This guy obviously gets it done – he won both the Dem and Repub nomination for Mayor – and you are calling him a sociopath. Hmmm…hope you guys have thicker skin than that, or it is going to be a long, miserable cycle.
