Pike receives key endorsement in 6th Congressional District

Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-8) has endorsed Doug Pike’s efforts to succeed Congressman Jim Gerlach in the 6th Congressional District.

Murphy, who heads the Red to Blue effort of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, has been impressed with Doug’s qualifications and his work ethic thus far.

Pike, who has more than $630,000 in the bank, will be a tremendous force to reckon with in 2010. Thus far, he has outraised state Representative Curt Schroder (R-Chester) by more than $615,000.

I know I am a little late to the game but the numbers are a little misleading, Curt Schroder has only been running full time for about a week.

As for the 630,00 Pike has, aprox 500,000 is a personal loan according to FEC reports, 130 grand in 6 months isnt very impressive…
