Kanjorski still bringing in PAC money
He may have had a close electoral scare last year, but Congressman Paul Kanjorski (D-11) can still raise money with the best of them.
Kanjorski raised almost $230,000 during the second quarter, finishing the period with almost $615,000 in cash on hand, according to campaign finance data.
He has not said whether he’ll seek reelection after edging Republican Lou Barletta last year in a race many analysts had expected him to lose. Lackawanna County Commissioner Corey O’Brien is seriously considering challenging Kanjorski in the Democratic primary.
Kanjorski netted about $161,000 from a variety of political action committees, including a significant amount from the insurance and finance industries that have helped sustain him during his time atop the House Financial Services Committee. With no declared opponent yet in sight, he spent lightly, disbursing only $42,000. The longtime incumbent has raised about $459,000 since winning reelection last year.

He is a poster boy for the corporatist Dem selling out the middle class for the Wall Street oligarchs.
