Campaign Update From Peg Luksik

By PEG LUKSIK FOR U.S. SENATE

Good morning!

Our Interview Tour is working!! I am getting to meet and talk with our neighbors all over the state – and it is impossible not be encouraged by you folks who continue to do the right thing for your families, your businesses, and your country, every single day.  I have spoken with business owners who are working hard to keep all of their employees on the payroll in spite of the economy.  I have toured the facilities of those who are helping the handicapped, despite growing red tape and budget shortfalls.  I have visited with our young adults, who care not just about the issues, but about the character of the person discussing them.

As I travel our state, I am constantly reminded that the strength of America has never been in Washington; the strength of America is in her families, and her citizens.  This nation was built by our families…one kitchen table at a time.  And, as I meet you this summer, it is crystal clear that the people around those kitchen tables are still trying to build a future for their children.  We just need to get Washington out of the way.

But Washington is not going to just politely get out of our way — we have to make those insiders move.  Here are this weeks steps:

1 – Copy the kitchen table blog link, http://pegluksik.com/2009/07/care-not-cards/ and share it with your mailing list.  Encourage them to become active volunteers by signing in through the web site.

2 – If you have not yet become a contributor to this effort, now is the time.  Please take a minute, right now, to click on this link, https://pegluksikforsenate.activistmanager.com/
and join those who are helping us to take back our country.  Don’t give in to the temptation to “do it in a few minutes.”  Good intentions can be forgotten and those intent on keeping Washington in the hands of the Beltway crowd are writing checks — we need to do the same.

3 – Schedule a kitchen table night in your own home.  I would love to visit with you, your family and your neighbors.  Drop me an email at peg@pegluksik.com and we will contact you to work out a date and time to bring our message to your hometown.

4 – Join us on the Interview tour when we come to a community near you.  I’d love to meet you there.

5 – Remember our noon prayer.  Those who founded this nation understood that “a reliance on Divine Providence” was a necessary component in good government.  We need to follow their example in this.  Take a minute or two at noon to ask for God’s blessing and His guidance.

As always, I thank each of you for everything you do.  Take care.

Peg

I am a concerned veteran and I am unemployed, 37 years old with a wife and a daughter. We have no health insurance and can not afford any my wife is also unemployed. The only income we have coming in is her unemployment check every two weeks. We both have been looking for work but with my disability it is hard for me to find a job. what are you going to do to put more Pa citizens in a position to have a means to provide for their family? and with the constitution being messed with by a President that they can’t even get records on. isn’t there a way to overthrough that seat like it says we can in the constitution. or has that been removed from our power as well. I am very upset that after fighting for this country I seem to be losing more and more of my rights and preveliges. Please contact me at (814)765-1025.
