MEADVILLE — Bill Taylor might get that second term yet. Taylor, a 48-year-old tool-shop owner who is currently serving as a Richmond Township supervisor on the unexpired term of a former supervisor who had died, failed in his bid to win the Republican nomination for a six-year term in the May 19 primary. But a Primary Day plea to township Democrats earned him 64 write-in votes — the same number of votes that Shirley F. Frazier received as the only Democratic candidate listed on the ballot. Read More

    Here’s a story that slipped through the cracks:

    Specter backed restoration of the Clean Water act (and our other Democratic Senator, Bob Casey has been silent on the bill.

    Just more evidence that Specter, when freed of the Right-wing pressure of the past decades, is finding his equilibrum here towards the Left.
