Biden joins Specter in Pa. today

Vice President Joe Biden is in Carlisle today with Senator Arlen Specter to talk up President Obama’s economic stimulus package, according to the White House (hat tip to Early Returns).

Though not officially a campaign event, Specter has been relentless in talking up his support fo the stimulus package as he nears his first Democratic priamry. It will be his first chance to make that pitch with an administration official by his side.

Gov. Ed Rendell, who recently said that Specter’s stimulus vote “saved the country,” is also expected to be in Carlisle.
