An ACORN opportunity for Corbett?

I meant to get to this yesterday. There was an interesting story about how Republicans wants Attorney General Tom Corbett to investigate ACORN, the community-organizing group that conservatives love to hate.

This could be a real opportunity for Corbett to shore up his credentials with the conservative wing of the party. I’m not going to suggest he’ll prosecute for political ends—there are plenty of other people to make that allegation.

But there are few things Republicans like bashing more these days than ACORN.

Then again, it certainly wouldn’t be much help to Corbett in a general election.
