A pa2010.com midsummer breather

Just like that, it’s been exactly two months already since pa2010.com first went live.

And what a two months it’s been! We barely had a moment to take in our new creation when Senator Arlen Specter laid a bombshell on the political landscape with his decision to switch parties. That unexpected news came gift-wrapped less than 1o days after the site launched, and since then things haven’t slowed down for a minute. We’ve covered the implications of his decision up-and-down the ballot, from the GOP’s short-lived flirtation with Tom Ridge to Congressman Joe Sestak’s never-ending media blitz.

We’ve led the pack on covering GOP pressure on Pat Meehan to consider another office and spare the party a gubernatorial primary, and have been the only ones in game covering a crowded race for Lieutenant Governor.

Through it all, our greatest strength has been simple: you. No organization covering Pennsylvania politics can boast readers as influential and sophisticated as you. That’s reflected in our coverage.

So with two months behind us, and many more to go before Election Day 2010, it’s time to take a little breather. We’re off today, but we’ll return in force Monday.

So stay tuned. The news never stops.

    Dan-
I was skeptical of the idea of another political blog about something so narrow as PA 2010, but it’s been the HOT site this season. Keep up the good work.
