Why the Supreme Court matters in 2010
Aside from the races for Governor and Senate next year, Pennsylvanians will be counted during the decennial Census.
The Census is critical as it relates to carving out representation in Congress, the state House of Representatives and state Senate. It also determines how federal resources will be allocated to help Pennsylvanians, particularly in tough economic times.
In 2000, Senate Republicans decimated Democratic districts throughout Pennsylvania with reckless abandonment.

The bill would enhance popular 529 college savings plans by allowing employers to make tax free matching contributions to an employee’s 529 account, up to $1000 a year.
