Lamb: ‘I know I’m funnier than Al Franken’
Pittsburgh City Controller Michael Lamb this week added his name to the list of Democrats willing to go up against Senator Arlen Specter and leaders in his new party, saying he’s still considering a bid for the party’s Senate nomination.
“I don’t have the long history in the Senate that Senator Specter has, I don’t have maybe the military experience that Senator McCain has, but I know I’m funnier than Al Franken,” Lamb said, according to the Post-Gazette. “So that’s something that I continue to look at.
“It’s a year away, right now, the race, so it’s [a decision] that I would have to make in the very near term,” he added.
Joe Torsella and state Representative Bill Kortz (D-Allegheny) have said they are still running. Congressman Joe Sestak (D-7) is seriously considering a run.

Funnier than Al Franken? He shouldn’t get the big head about that…
