KORTZ FILES OFFICIAL PAPERS WITH F.E.C.
By BILL KORTZ FOR SENATE
State Representative Bill Kortz, (D) Allegheny County, today filed the necessary papers with the Federal Election Commission in Washington D.C. officially declaring his candidacy for the democratic nomination for United States Senator from Pennsylvania, and forming a committee to collect and disperse funds to achieve that goal.
The Representative picked May 7th, a National Day of Prayer, to officially launch his grassroots campaign as a symbolic reminder to everyone that America and many of its citizens are facing tough times economically, and that we have men and women in uniform today in harms way protecting our freedoms and way of life. He asks that you keep all of them in your prayers.
As the Representative continues his trek across all 67 counties in Pennsylvania for the next 13 months to garner support and speak about the issues important to Pennsylvanians and our nation, he wants everyone to know that he is fully committed to see this race through to its successful conclusion.
Representative Bill Kortz will be outlining his platform over the next 13 months to address the economic problems facing America and her citizens. The Representative asks the media for fair and equal time to outline his platform in the weeks and months ahead leading up to the May 2010 primary so that Pennsylvanians are fully informed and have a chance to hear from all sides in this contest.
Finally, Representative Bill Kortz wants all Pennsylvanians to know that, just as in his every day life and work as a State Representative, as your United States Senator from Pennsylvania he will always strive for open honest government committed to the ideals that all people are to be treated fairly and with respect. That all people will have his full and undivided attention to their needs and issues.
Bill Kortz brings to the campaign the energy, stamina, education, commitment, and blue collar work ethic learned in his humble beginnings in the Steel Valley of Western Pennsylvania where for four generations his family, from before the Civil War, settled, worked, and lived out the American dream, a dream he will work to see that all Americans have a chance to fulfill.
Bill Kortz will, “See you on the Road”!
