Specter holding 3:30 phone presser
I’ll be on a conference call for reporters with Senator Specter later today. Should be interesting.

Dan–
Ask Specter to name and elaborate on 5 issues on which he feels closer to dems – get him off the economy and GOP hostility, and get him talking about labor, choice, energy, equal rights, ed, more. I’d like to hear his thoughts about what makes him want to be a dem, rather than what makes him want to leave the GOP, or to win his next election. Dems need to figure out if this guy is actually any better for the country, and where he plans to break from our caucus on issues that matter most to us.
