Roddey backs Toomey

With moderate Republicans grasping for a candidate to replace Senator Arlen Specter, Allegheny County GOP Chairman Jim Roddey says he’s sticking with conservative Pat Toomey, The Post-Gazette reports.

Endorsing Toomey, Roddey said the former Congressman “represents the mainstream of the Republican Party that we need in Washington.”
